King Tut's gold
The greatest treasure ever found in Egypt -nearly 5000 items from the 14th century B.C. - came to light in 1922 with the opening of the tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamun. Guardian of a shrine containing the king's internal organs, Selket, half-size, was so powerful that her magic could cure sting of the scorpion on her head.
